Can I try the gym for free?

We do offer a 'friend pass' which is $39.95 for 30 days. So if you have a friend at the gym, it is an awesome way to trial the gym!

Alternatively our casual sessions are $16  

What hours are you open?

Altona Meadows and Werribee our clubs are open 24 Hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year with an access card!

If you need to talk to a staff member, or want to come during hours which the clubs have staff available:

Werribee Staffed Hours: Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 9:00pm, Friday 7.30am – 8:00pm, Saturday 8:00am – 12:30pm,   Public Holidays 8:00am – 11:30pm.

The clubs will not be staffed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Good Friday.

Altona Meadows staffed hours Monday – Friday 9.00am – 1.00pm, Monday – Friday 5.00pm – 8.00pm and Saturday 9.00am – 1.00pm. Public Holidays are not staffed.

Will someone show me around?

Yes! you can always pop in to either club during staffed hours. Although its recommended to call ahead to ensure someone will be available to show you around.

What happens if I can’t make my appointment that has been booked in with a trainer at the gym?

We provide a text reminder service 48 hours prior to appointments, and ask for a minimum 24 hours notice for any cancellation or rescheduling of appointments to provide us with adequate time and opportunity to book in other members who may be waiting for an appointment. 

However, we do understand when life gets in the way, so if something comes up we ask that you call us ASAP to let us know if you are unable to attend an appointment. Failure to do so will incur a fee, please see our cancellation policy in more detail here:https://inbalancefitness.com.au/gacp/  

What is the minimum age to join?

The minimum age is 16 providing that you have parents’ consent and your legal guardian must complete a guarantor form.

At the Werribee Club we do offer a Teen Fit Program that runs 3 days a week from 4.15pm to 5.00pm Monday's Wednesday's and Friday's for 12-15 year olds.

What do I need to bring to the gym?

A positive attitude, a sweat towel and proper workout gear. No work boots, thongs, jeans or offensive garments.

Altona Meadows did have HIIT classes, however due to the covid-19 shutdown, the expected return date has not been confirmed.

Is personal training included?

Is personal training included?

Personal training is a fantastic way to fast track your goals! All our trainers charge according to experience and qualifications. Expect to pay between $30-$70 per session for one on one personal training. 

How do I cancel my membership?

We would be sorry to see you go and want to thank you for being a member with us. We would hope you have enjoyed your time at In Balance Fitness – we try to make exercise convenient and easy, and we want to do the same with exiting your membership.

To cancel your membership at Werribee – just pop into the Club between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, talk to our Member Care Manager who will help to complete a cancellation form.

If you have completed your minimum term, your membership will be cancelled the following business day, upon completion of the cancellation form.

If you’re unable to come into the Club, you can call, Ph: 9741 2686 or send us an email. Email: mc@inbalancefitness.com.au. The Manager will then reply to you within 2 business days of its receipt.

Please note cancellation requests via email will incur a 14 – day notice period.

Can I use both Clubs?

Yes, we offer a dual membership, if you call the Club, our friendly staff can inform you of the details.

How much is a casual visit?

At the Werribee Club, for a casual session to the gym or a group exercise class it is $16.00. For a Casual session of IBFHIT it is $25.


Altona Meadows is a member only club and does not offer casual use.

What happens if I go away on holidays or injure myself?

If you wish to go on holidays or in the unfortunate case that you become ill, we can suspend your membership. As a 12-month member(In term) you get 4 weeks free suspension every year and a 3 month can suspend for 1 week free of charge.

If you need to suspend out of term or for longer, it will cost $5 per week. Please contact our Member Care Coordinator on 9741 2686 or email at mc@inbalancefitness.com.au to discuss these options.

What if I move or can’t continue my membership while still in term, can I transfer my membership to someone else?

If you are moving or are unable to continue with your membership, you can transfer the remainder of your membership to a friend, a family member or anyone who is not an existing member. For a direct debit member, this would involve transferring the remaining number of debits on the agreement.

All you need to do is make an appointment with our Member Care Coordinator on 9741 2686 or email at mc@inbalancefitness.com.au, come into the club with the person your transferring the membership to, and fill out the necessary paperwork to be completed. If the transferee is under 18 years of age, a Guarantor form will need to be completed (in club) by a parent or guardian. The member transferring their membership will also incur a $50 transfer fee.

What are terms and conditions of working out at In Balance Fitness?

To ensure the Club is able to provide a high level of service in a safe, healthy and pleasant environment for all, members must comply with the following conditions:

• a. Entry will be refused or a person request to leave the centre if the person:

i. Is abusive or uses offensive language or whose behaviour is threatening or
ii. Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs

• b. No smoking is permitted in the club.

• c. No chewing gum is permitted in the club.

• d. Sweat towels must be used at all times.

• e. Weights must be returned to their correct place after use.

• f. Correct training attire and runners must be worn in the club – no jeans, work clothes, boots sandals, thongs, or clothing that is likely to cause offence to others are not permitted.

• g. No person under the age of 16 is permitted in the Club unless accompanied by a  qualified instructor.

• h. No food is permitted in the club or group exercise classes.

• i. No entry to a group exercise class 5 minutes after it starts.

Do you have squash courts?

Nope… not for a long, long time.

What happens in the event of a shutdown (covid-19) with my membership fees?

All membership fees will be placed on hold, free of charge  for the duration of the shutdown. Based on a week to week term.

If you are a Paid In Full (upfront) member your membership will be extended to cover the time the club was closed.
